"YOU'RE A SINGER/SONGWRITER? SO WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU WRITE?"
Sophia wants to make music that sounds like someone wrote a beautiful song and played it until it was worn and threadbare, and then one day while they were out walking it fell out of their bag and hit the ground hard and rolled down a steep hill and through some blackberry bushes and landed in a pile of dirt and leaves, and it sat there for a long time until someone found it and pawned it for some quick cash, and then YOU (yes, you!) walked into that pawn shop on a whim and saw that song on the shelf and fell in love with it, dented and scratched, worn and threadbare, dirt and all, and took it home with you and kept it someplace where it could tug on its hooks in your heart whenever you saw it. Is that a kind of music? What genre do you call that?
